Long Live the King – November 21, 2021

Next Sunday, West Tokyo Union Church community welcomes you to join us for a special in person, hybrid worship service which will also be live-broadcast via Zoom through our usual link. Having a service that is both in-person and Zoom-broadcast allows members who live far from Mitaka to still be able to join in.

The service will be held in our regular gathering space, Room 105 on the Lutheran Seminary Campus on Sunday, November 21st at 10:00 am. If you are planning to attend in person, please make sure that you are fully immunized against Covid and that you are wearing a mask. We will keep you informed via email and updated website posts concerning which future services can be held in person.

Pastor Jim Sack will preach a message based on the following Bible passages: Revelations 1:4b – 8 and John 18:33 – 37. His sermon title is: “Long Live the King.” Betsy will be reading the scriptures. Kazuko will be playing the organ and Ruth will provide the children’s message along with some help from her puppet pals. We appreciate our members stepping in to help out with worship.

We are very thankful that our little community church can keep on going even in the midst of another Covid shut-down. Many friends keep contributing to our worship services and to our parishioner connections. We appreciate everyone’s prayers, financial support and weekly acts of service as we help each other in doing the work of the Kingdom.

Gather your family and some friends together to join us in our Zoom worship service. We hope to see many of you on Sunday! You are welcome to stay on after the service to chat for awhile and to catch up with old friends and new news.
