We hope that all of you will enjoy a productive and healthy year in 2022. This Sunday, join our church community online worship service at 10:00 am JST via Zoom through our usual link. Malcolm Foster will be the lay preacher. We welcome friends and members from around the world to join us as we continue to worship remotely. You may be distant geographically, but you are as close as our hearts and prayers. We will keep you informed via email and updated website posts concerning which future services can be held in person. We hope to be able to have at least one in-person hybrid worship service per month.
This Sunday we’ll be taking a look at true repentance. The lectionary passage is about Jesus’ baptism by John the Baptist in Luke 3:15-22. John’s baptism was one of repentance — which seems strange given that Jesus was sinless. In the message, “True Repentance,†we’ll look at why Jesus did this and what repentance really means — and it’s not as dark as you might think.Â
There are some encouraging and positive things to learn from this story. Please join us for worship to find out! Malcolm will be preaching, Mio will be the liturgist and Kazuko as always will be playing the organ. Ruth will join us with a rodent friend who just might need to hear this repentance message as well.
Scriptures:Â Luke 3:15-22
Thank you to everyone who helps to make our worship services come together each week.
We are very thankful that our little community church can keep on going even in the midst of difficulties. Many friends keep contributing to our worship services and to our parishioner connections. We appreciate everyone’s prayers, financial support and weekly acts of service as we help each other in doing the work of the Kingdom.
