Summer Worship 2020 at WTUC

Each year during the months of July and August, West Tokyo Union Church does not gather for worship since the majority of our members are often traveling or living overseas.  Although many will remain in Japan this summer due to travel restrictions, we continue to observe our summer break for prayerful rest and renewal. It has been a busy and intense season and we are very thankful for the folks who helped arrange our online worship services from late March through June. You may go to our WTUC Facebook page and look under “videos” to watch some of those services. We also encourage our members to visit a local Japanese church in their neighborhood and/or participate in these other recommended international churches in the Tokyo area during the summer months.

West Tokyo Union Church worship will resume on September 6, 2020 to kick-off our new 2020-21 Church Year.  Have a safe and enjoyable summer!  Enjoy worshiping God in these Tokyo area English-speaking and bilingual churches either online or in person as able.  We pray you have a restful summer enjoying God’s creation. As conditions in Tokyo allow, we hopefully look forward to welcoming you back in person to our sanctuary at the Japan Lutheran College and Seminary in Mitaka in September! Please feel free to be in touch with prayer concerns and updates.
