A Fresh Fall
Hello from West Tokyo Union Church.
My name is Jonathan Oh, and I am humbled and grateful to be serving as the pastor of West Tokyo Union Church beginning this fall. I had my first opportunity to serve at WTUC back in 2019 as the guest celebrant, but little did I know that God would be bringing us together in this way. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
As we wrap up the WTUC calendar year at the end of June, I invite you to come join the congregation in worshipping the living God on the campus of Japan Lutheran College and Seminary in Mitaka. The service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 30. This will be our closing service for this year, and Rev. Dr. Jim Sack will be preaching the Word and administering the Lord’s Supper.
Bring a snack or dish with you to the service so that we can share in our time of fellowship!
Our family is looking forward to growing together with you starting this fall. Our second daughter, Mikayla Hope, came into the world just last week! As we celebrate this new life, we also look forward to a new chapter at WTUC in the coming months. Please make sure to also check out our website for regular updates and to learn more about how to connect with all of us at WTUC.
In all things, may God alone be glorified. I am looking forward to getting to know you more over the coming weeks and months. If at any time you would like to chat, you can reach me at pastor@wtuc.net, and you can schedule an appointment on the pastor’s page at wtuc.net/pastor.
Blessings to you, and see you on Sunday!
Jonathan
