Being Transformed in Christ

Hello, WTUC Family.

I hope that you had a wonderful week. We had a pleasant change the last couple of days as it was warmer during the day. Spring may be coming soon, but be aware of the flying pollen! It’s quite heavy out there this time of year.

This Sunday, we will be gathering on the campus of Japan Lutheran College and Theological Seminary in our usual meeting Room 105 at 11:00 a.m. for our worship service. It is Transfiguration Sunday, and we are going to be talking about being transformed in Christ. This is the last Sunday before we begin Lent next week. Please come join us for worship! We will also be observing the Lord’s Supper during this service. You can get more information about the service by going to our calendar page here.

Because we are going to be missing so many of our members who are away for the Women’s Conference, we are going to have a different fellowship hour after the service. We will be heading over to a restaurant near where we gather to have a meal, and so you do not need to worry about bringing anything for the meal. Please keep our sisters who are at WoCon in prayer for a fruitful and blessed time in Christ along with safe travels.

Coming up on Ash Wednesday, there will be an online YouTube broadcast of a prepared worship service at 6:00 p.m. The link will be provided on the calendar page. In addition, if you would like to have ashes imposed on you, you can visit Mitaka Lutheran Church at 7:00 p.m. for a service held at the chapel on the campus of Japan Lutheran College and Seminary.

I look forward to seeing you on Sunday. Have a wonderful finish to February - March begins tomorrow!

Blessings,
Jonathan
