Journey to the Cross
Hello, WTUC Family.
I hope that you had a blessed week. We’ve gone from really beautiful spring weather Sunday to seeing snow flying around just the next day - and every other weather that we can expect under the sun the rest of the week. It always seems to get suddenly warm then cold transitioning from February to March each year, and of course, the pollen is flying. I hope that you are taking care of your health and that the hay fever (if you have it) isn’t bothering you too much.
We had our Ash Wednesday service earlier this week, and if you did not have a chance to join in, you are welcome to watch it here. I hope that the message encourages you as we begin the Lenten season. As we journey to the cross, we want to remember why we observe Lent - and Who is there walking us through it and Who is there at the end of it.
This coming Sunday, we get to see a good friend of ours again - it’s been a while since we were able to see the Rev. Dr. Paul Shew delivering the Word of God during our services, and we’re thankful that he has made time to join us for worship. We would love for you to also join us online at 11:00 a.m.! You can find the bulletin, hymn insert, and link on our calendar page.
Also, if you were wanting to consider receiving baptism at our church, we are looking to hear from you! Please contact me (pastor@wtuc.net), and we plan on organizing a baptism class over the coming weeks.
I hope that you have a wonderful rest of the week!
Blessings,
Jonathan
