The Word is the Word

Dear WTUC Family,

I hope that you are doing well and that you are having a good start to the new year. Our family had some time away to see our loved ones last week, and we are now looking forward to seeing everyone for worship this coming Sunday. I am thankful to Rev. Dr. Jim Sack and Rev. Dr. Tim Boyle along with all those at WTUC helping to continue leading worship for the first couple of Sundays in 2025. We truly are blessed to have various members helping us in worshipping our living and loving God.

We will be gathering on the campus of Japan Lutheran College and Theological Seminary in Room 105 this Sunday at 11:00 a.m. If you are joining us, please make sure to bring some finger food or snacks so that we can share during our fellowship hour after the service. You can find more details on the service here.

If you have not joined our WTUC Daily Lectionary Bible Reading Facebook Group, and if you’re looking for a daily Bible reading plan, please come join us here! The reading selections are posted every day, and you have an opportunity to contribute in discussions if you would like! I’ll be sharing more about this during the message on Sunday.

Please make sure to take care of your health as the weather continues to remain quite cold and windy. Also, continue to keep our WTUC family in your prayers. Many of you know about the needs of our various members through our time during Prayers of the People, and we want to continue to lift them to the Lord. If you need prayer at any time, please reach us through our Prayer page.

Have a wonderful rest of the week, and see you on Sunday!

Blessings,
Jonathan
