Potluck Signups Needed!
Hello, WTUC Family.
I hope that you have had a good start to the month of November. It was wonderful to see many of you during our bilingual joint service with Japan Evangelical Lutheran Mitaka Church this past Sunday. If you weren’t able to attend, we were thankfully given a copy of the message that Pastor Toppo Takamura gave during the service. Please visit our YouTube channel or our Sermon page to hear the message.
Important Announcement: Our Thanksgiving Potluck is coming up in a little over a week, and we need you to sign up and share with us what you are planning to bring for our celebration. We redesigned the signup page so that you can clearly see what others are bringing and hopefully sign up without too much trouble. The sooner you are able to sign up, the easier it will make it for our potluck coordinator, Ann Tang, to make final preparations. Please visit this page for more details and to get a copy of the invitation card so that you can bring others to the service and celebration on Sunday, November 17!
We are having an in-person service this coming Sunday, November 10 at 11:00 a.m. Keiko Holmes will be sharing a message called “You Are Precious”. Keiko is Founder & Director of Agape World, a charitable organisation that helps former POWs, internees held by the Japanese and victims of the Pacific War and their families. The group aims to facilitate healing and reconciliation. Keiko's sincerity to seek forgiveness and reconciliation has touched the hearts of many former FEPOWs and their families. You can learn more about Agape World at agapeworldreconciliation.org.
I hope that you have a wonderful rest of the week, and please let me know if I can be praying for you in any way. You can reach our Prayer page here.
Blessings,
Jonathan
