This Sunday:  The first Sunday of Advent.  The scripture will warn— not once or twice— but thrice: “stay awake.”  Don’t think it’s just about staying awake for the sermon!  Mark 13:24-37

WTUC Weekly Announcement for Sunday, November 20th

This Sunday:  We celebrate our long partnership with Second Harvest Japan.  Ruby Sakuma will bring the message.  Mission opportunities include WTUC’s annual “sock” drive for Nozomi no Ie orphanage and supporting second harvest families with food for the holidays.

Following worship, we share our Thanksgiving meal.  Bring a dish to share (if you did not already sign up, you may check with Karen Seevers for a suggestion).  Also bring place settings.  Would you consider bringing an extra place setting or two so that we may properly welcome any guests who may join us?

WTUC Weekly Announcement for Sunday, November 6th

This Sunday we have the joy of sharing worship with our sister church, the Mitaka Lutheran church.  The worship will begin at 10:30 over in the Chapel of Lutheran Seminary.  Susan and Teresa are preaching a “duet” sermon based on the text Matthew 25: 1-13.  Ruth Ingulsrud will be teaching with her puppets, Kazuko Sacon playing the organ, and Carol Sack contributing harp music. 

Also, Youth Group will meet at 1:00 at the Dornbach’s home.

The Steering committee will be meeting around 12:30 at the Sack’s home.
