BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING ~ How to Have an Intentional Healing Ministry in Your Church by James K. Wagner

A study about the Sacramental Model of Healing Ministry, using the book by Methodist pastor James Wagner. Dr. Wagner helps us to see healing prayers as a natural outcome of the Church, inspired by the compassion of our Lord who wills goodness to each person in both general and specific ways. Any genuine ministry is concerned with encouraging and helping others, not on building up oneself or one’s group. It is centered in the Word of God.  We will continue this study over the next few months, reading the text out loud together and discussing as we go along. Feel free to join whether or not you have had any prior connections with the healing ministry.

The Sack`s home is located across the Lutheran Campus from our sanctuary. Best coffee in town!! Come and enjoy!!

“Finding Our Way”   Luke 15:11-32

Last Sunday, we said farewell to Pastor Teresa Thompson-Sherrill who is now living in the States to take care of family members. Pastor Teresa’s husband, Mike, and son, Jeremiah, were at church to give an update on their family. And Teresa joined us via Skype as Rev. Jim Sack led prayers of blessing for the Thompson-Sherrill family. We continue to pray for all of God`s blessings of provision and care for the Thompson-Sherrill family in this time of transition. Thank you Pastor Teresa for five wonderful years of service at WTUC!

Following these prayers, Rev. Christian Zebley was installed by Rev. Jim Sack as the Interim Pastor of West Tokyo Union Church for the 2016-17 church year.

Rev. Zebley may be reached at pastor@wtuc.net or 070-1272-3984.

Pastor Christian, his wife Kay and their five children: Anna, Emma, Kristina, Isaiah and Abigail are all very happy to be serving West Tokyo Union Church.

The Rev. James Sack will be preaching this Sunday and welcoming Rev. Zebley.  There will also be Prayers of Blessing for the Sherrill family as they make this important transition in their lives.

Everyone is welcome for worship and fellowship after the service!  Join with us as we worship the Lord in spirit and in truth.
